Annual Business Meeting Agenda

Call to Order President Laurie Eckert-Trapp called the WJCIA Annual Business meeting to order. President Eckert-Trapp acknowledged the founders and past presidents of WJCIA by reading each persons name and asking them to stand if he or she was in attendance.

Secretary’s Report There was a motion by Julie Dollahon to waive the reading of the Secretary’s Report. Chris Pruitt seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report The Treasurer’s Report was made available to anyone interested at the registration table. Fran Mohr made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report. Bob Mattice seconded the motion. Motion carried.

Selected Committee Reports
Legislative Committee
Tom Matykowski, Chairman of the Legislative Committee, advised that the committee was busy alt year tracking bills. He advised that the committee again worked with Senator Ron Brown on the Threat to Harm Social Worker’s Bill. Chairman Matykowski also discussed Wisconsin Act 5, Assembly Bill 443 and Assembly Bill 82. He concluded by advising that his committee reviewed that State v. Jerrell C.J. case.
Training Committee
Darren Dannhoff, Training Committee Chairman, advised that there is four trainings scheduled this year. He advised that there is no training in Manitowoc in November. Chairman Dannhoff reported that the September 2005 and January 2006 trainings are full. He further reported that the April training is in Madison and that the June training is in Eau Claire. Mr. Dannhoff advised that he would be turning the role of Chairperson of the Training Committee to Kim Boldon. If counties are having difficulty meeting the six-month requirement for intake training, contact Kim or Darren.

Introduction of 2005-06 WJCIA President
Laurie Eckert-Trapp turned over the gavel to the 2005-2006 WJCIA President Darren Dannhoff. President Dannhoff thanked former WJCIA President Laurie Eckert-Trapp for her services and leadership. President Dannhoff stated, “I am your President.” He asked people to contact him with a questions, thoughts, or concerns.

Election of 2005-06 Board of Directors
Pam Eitland, Vernon County Human Service Director, read the slate of nominees for the 2005-2006 WJCIA Board and asked for nominations from the floor. After hearing no responses, ballots were distributed.

Chris Pruitt made a motion to adjourn. Julie Dollahon seconded the motion. Motion carried
