HIGHLIGHTS OF MINUTES
Legislative Committee Meeting
3/2/06
HFS 44 committee:
It was suggested that a general statement be made at the beginning regarding issues that are currently duplicated throughout the document. There is a great deal of redundancy. Reviewed the document and provided input and concerns to go to the committee.
SB 24 – threats to harm social workers, etc. Letter regarding this bill sent to Sen. Brown’s office. and to the committee the bill is currently in. The letter also went into the Prima Facie. There have been questions about why family members are included in the bill. Will need to try to gather some anecdotal information regarding the need for this. There is a special concern for those in rural areas whose children go to school with client’s children.
